AirBaltic is actively preparing for its upcoming winter season. The airline is deploying its fleet of Airbus A220-300s to strategic destinations to meet the dual demand for sunshine and the far north. The carrier is adding new direct routes and increasing frequencies from its main bases. By optimizing its airport slots across Europe, the airline is ensuring smooth connections for travelers seeking an escape. This expansion of the schedule will connect the Baltic capitals more efficiently with the Spanish archipelagos and Finnish resorts. The airline is thus adapting its offering to capture seasonal tourist flows while modernizing the onboard experience on its latest-generation aircraft.

It regularly offers promotions on flights to many European destinations. Air Baltic has a fleet primarily composed of Bombardier aircraft, Boeing 737s, and Airbus A220s. Investments for the use of sustainable aviation fuels
The company has continued to gradually increase its consumption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and is preparing for the mandatory introduction of a 2% SAF blend starting in 2025, in accordance with the ReFuel regulation.
Investment in fleet renewal
In 2023, the airline received seven new Airbus A220-300s. That same year, airBaltic signed a contract with Airbus to acquire 30 Airbus A220-300s, with options for 20 additional aircraft, as part of its goal of operating a fleet of 100 aircraft of this model by 2030. Finally, the airline uses the Diamond DA-40NG (New Generation), a modern single-engine aircraft, for training; it owns eight of them, as well as a twin-engine Diamond 42-VI (Improved Speed).

Carbon offsetting programmes
The Group complies with applicable regulations and annually publishes its emissions report, in accordance with the directives of the European Union (EU ETS), Switzerland (CH ETS), the United Kingdom (UK ETS) and the CORSIA system for
international aviation.
In May 2023, the airline launched an option allowing passengers to add up to 1 kg of Sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) for flights in Economy Class and 1.5 kg for those in business class. This option was extended
to airBaltic Club members, who could use their loyalty points. In 2023, nearly 9,318 passengers (representing
0.21% of bookings) opted to add SAF to their flight.
Optimisation of flight operations
The Group decided at the end of 2021 to gradually convert its fleet of land vehicles to electric vehicles. In 2023, 6 conventional vehicles were replaced by electric vehicles, following 21 replacements in 2022. Additionally, 4 charging stations were installed (compared to 18 in 2022) in runway and technical areas. The Group now has 29 electric vehicles, used for technical operations, on the ground, as well as for management and administration, and 29 charging stations on runways and in Parking areas at the offices.
Other environmental initiatives
The airline recycles hazardous and non-hazardous waste. To reduce food waste, a 30% discount on unsold fresh products was introduced before the aircraft's return to the home base airport, starting in summer 2023. Following the success of the pilot programme, this measure has now been made permanent.
