Air Caraïbes is expanding its flight schedule for the 2025–2026 winter season by relaunching its direct air connection between Paris‑Orly and Saint‑Martin (Princess Juliana), while also opening an entirely new route to Samaná (Dominican Republic). These two initiatives confirm the Caribbean carrier’s strategy of consolidating and expanding its presence in the transatlantic leisure travel market. After suspending service to Saint‑Martin in 2022, the airline resumed this strategic route on 12 December 2025, operating up to 3 weekly flights between Paris‑Orly and Princess Juliana International Airport. Air Caraïbes is deploying Airbus A330‑200 aircraft configured to combine comfort and capacity, thereby meeting the demand from tourists, residents of France’s overseas territories and business travellers on this highly competitive route. 3 days after returning to Saint‑Martin, Air Caraïbes is also launching a new service to Samaná (El Catey Airport), a destination that has so far been underserved by direct routes from France. This route operates twice weekly, on Mondays and Saturdays, starting 15 December 2025, and is part of the airline’s long-haul network diversification strategy. It makes Samaná the carrier’s third destination in the Dominican Republic, alongside Punta Cana and Santo Domingo. According to the airline’s executives, this dual launch reflects a desire to maintain annual growth of around 4 to 5 %, amid intensified competition and cost pressures. Air Caraïbes is leveraging its usual transatlantic hubs from Paris‑Orly to offer a more extensive network to the Caribbean and Latin America, while strengthening its position against other international carriers. By developing its established routes and new services simultaneously, Air Caraïbes is reaffirming its ambition to remain a leading player in leisure long-haul travel from France, meeting a range of demands from beach holidays to cultural trips and offering passengers enhanced connectivity to attractive destinations.
