The aircraft sports a livery inspired by the comic books Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon. Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock appear on the fuselage, while the famous red-and-white rocket is painted on the underside of the aircraft. This new plane joins the “Belgian Icons” collection, which celebrates symbols of Belgian culture. The project was developed with Tintinimaginatio, the organisation managing Hergé’s work, and is already part of the preparations for Tintin’s centenary in 2029. It complements the first Tintin Airbus, “Rackham”, launched in 2015, enabling the airline to operate two A320s featuring the famous hero. On board, the experience continues with a space-themed cabin. The baggage compartments feature iconic scenes from the lunar albums, accompanied by a quotation from Hergé. The airline is thus further strengthening its position as a flying ambassador for Belgian comics.
