Chalair has won the Andorran government’s tender to operate Andorra - La Seu d’Urgell Airport. The airline will base a 48-seat ATR 42-500 there year-round. It will succeed Air Nostrum, whose contract ends on 31 December 2026.
The annual schedule will include Paris-Orly, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca. Paris-Orly will be served twice a week. Madrid will have three weekly flights from summer 2027. Palma will offer two to three round trips per week, depending on the time of year.
Chalair will also add Nantes, Nice and Lyon during certain seasons. The agreement runs for four years, until 2030, with an option for two additional years. The arrangement also provides for a replacement ATR 72-500, which can be deployed from Montferrer in less than two hours. For travellers, this local base should improve the reliability of flights to Andorra and the Pyrenees.
