On the morning of 29 November 2025, the E195‑E2 bearing registration LX‑LEA landed in Luxembourg, where it was welcomed with an official ceremony. It is the first of the 6 aircraft ordered, with additional deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2027. Designed for the airline’s European network, the aircraft offers 136 seats arranged in a 2-by-2 staggered configuration, with no middle seat, thereby providing passengers with greater comfort and more space. From an environmental perspective, the E195‑E2 outperforms the previous generation, with reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions and noise levels. With the arrival of its first Embraer E195‑E2, Luxair is ushering in a new era: more modern, more environmentally friendly and focused on passenger comfort. This modernisation supports the continued growth in traffic, which exceeded 2.6 million passengers in 2024, as well as a denser air network serving nearly one hundred European destinations.

Investment in fleet renewal
Luxair has modernised its fleet by ordering 4 Embraer E2s and 8 Boeing 737s. The delivery of these aircraft is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The latest version of the Boeing 737 is expected to consume less fuel and emit less CO2. These planes will also be able to operate using Sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). Luxair reduces its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by installing scimitar winglets on its remaining Boeing 737-800s and regularly updating aircraft engines, thereby reducing consumption by 4% in 2023 compared to 2022.
