The Brive-Vallée de la Dordogne Airport is preparing to welcome a new operator. Following Ryanair’s withdrawal from this route, Volotea has announced the opening of a direct route to Porto starting in summer 2026. This decision will enable the airport to maintain its international seat capacity and meet strong local demand. For Brive Airport, the arrival of this new airline is excellent news. Volotea plans to operate two round trips per week, year-round. The Spanish low-cost airline operates Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, which are perfectly suited to the airport’s infrastructure. This change of operator will prevent any interruption to service on this major route for the regional economy. By adding Brive to its network, Volotea is strengthening its development strategy at French regional airports. For travellers, maintaining the route to Porto ensures a simpler passenger journey, without the need to travel to major national hubs. The airline’s arrival secures the airport’s flight schedule and helps sustain traffic in the heart of southwestern France.
