Sky Express is expanding its European air network and has chosen Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport as a strategic stopover. Since 15 December 2025, the airline has operated its direct Lyon–Athens flight twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. This air connection provides a direct gateway to the Greek capital. To celebrate this new flight, the carrier brought together more than 130 tourism professionals at an exclusive inauguration event in Lyon. Thanks to this new route, travellers benefit from optimised connections to gems such as Mykonos, Santorini or Crete. This air connection strengthens Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport’s international connectivity and boosts tourism flows between France and Greece. The airport authorities and the airline are working together to ensure a smooth journey and shorter waiting times during transfers at Athens Airport. By expanding its flight schedule, Sky Express is establishing itself as a key player for summer destinations.
