Volotea at Strasbourg Entzheim Airport (SXB)

As of 9 April 2026, the airline will operate a new nonstop route to the Danish capital as part of a public service concession (DSP). This strategic contract guarantees 2 regular round trips and stable connectivity for European institutions and leisure travellers. With this Nordic destination, Volotea is optimising its route network from Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport. The airline plans to operate Airbus A320 aircraft on these Strasbourg Copenhagen flights, offering more seats and greater comfort to passengers from the Grand Est region. From 23 September 2026, Volotea will operate 2 weekly flights, on Wednesdays and Sundays between Strasbourg‑Entzheim Airport and Florence‑Peretola Airport. This air route is part of Volotea’s strategy to connect Europe’s regional capitals, building on its Strasbourg base, which already serves 27 destinations in 6 countries. According to Volotea’s director in France, this new route will strengthen connectivity between Alsace and Tuscany. Florence offers a major cultural draw, with landmarks such as the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and Renaissance treasures. The Spanish airline is focusing on consolidating its Alsatian base in 2026, with 26 direct flights spread across 6 countries: France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco and Portugal. In the coming year, Volotea plans to offer approximately 925,000 seats departing from Strasbourg. Nearly 78% of these seats are allocated to French destinations, with a substantial leisure offering of around 18% to islands or island regions. With its base at Strasbourg Airport, Volotea generates more than 70 direct jobs and nearly 400 indirect jobs through its 2 Airbus A320 aircraft based at the airport.
