As of 10 December 2025, Air Austral will consolidate all its operations at Terminal 2A at Paris-CDG, bringing several years of operations at Terminal 2B to an end. This return is part of the extensive modernisation project led by the ADP Group to improve passenger flow, comfort and the services offered to passengers. Completely refurbished, Terminal 2A reopened at the beginning of December and now welcomes several long-haul airlines in a more modern, connected environment. For Air Austral passengers, this change means check-in will be centralised in 2A, while arrivals and boarding may take place from zones A or C, depending on flight arrangements. The terminal’s location also makes connections easier, particularly for passengers using the Train + Air service in partnership with SNCF. The airport’s TGV station is now accessible in a few minutes on foot, significantly reducing transit times and simplifying security and identity checks. This relocation also comes with an enhanced premium offering. Eligible passengers will have access to the PrimeClass partner lounge, a refurbished, bright space offering runway views, rest areas, a family area and complimentary showers, which are particularly appreciated before long-haul flights to Réunion or Mayotte. This service is included for Club Austral customers and MyCapricorne programme members, and is available as an optional extra for certain other travellers. With several hundred thousand passengers carried each year between Paris and Réunion, Air Austral is reaffirming through its return to Terminal 2A its commitment to raising its service standards and aligning with international benchmarks. This relocation is fully aligned with the Paris-CDG transformation plan, which aims to make routes easier to follow and connections more efficient throughout the hub.
